EVISITS: TELEMEDICINE, PORTAL MESSAGING VISITS and TELEPHONIC VISITS
With the use of tele-communication technology we can provide some healthcare services to our patients in real-time utilizing video-conferencing with mobile phones, tablets and computers. Telemedicine can be provided to you at your home, work, vacation or while at another clinic or hospital...just about anywhere that you have access to the internet from your personal device while in a private, confidential place! No downloads, app’s or account setup is necessary - just a browser, on a device with a camera and microphone access. Telemedicine visits are HIPAA complaint and secure as no data is stored, recorded or accessible to anyone outside of you and your provider!
Telemedicine and telephonic visits are pre-scheduled, one-on-one visits with your provider where your medical needs are addressed and where medical advice and/or treatment is given and billed to insurance. Portal Messaging “visits” are virtual visits where your medical questions and needs are addressed, medical advice and/or treatment is given through our online, patient portal messaging exchanges and are also billed to insurance. Telemedicine is done via our audio-visual platform and you must have audio-visual capability (smartphone or PC) with good internet connection. **Telemedicine visits are available for established patients who have an annual Telemedicine Consent signed and on file with our office. By entering a telemedicine visit with a provider, you are agreeing to all of the terms and conditions within
The <check-in flyer> will give you detailed instruction on how to check-in for your visit and what to do if you experience any problems. <How to video> System Requirements: You can only access this platform from a Google Chrome, Firefox or Safari internet browser. (Do not select the “app” version and Internet Explorer will not work). Please also make sure you are in a private area where you have good internet connection to avoid any communication issues.
To enter your scheduled telemedicine visit, select from the providers waiting room below and "check-in". You will be asked to enable your webcam and microphone, please allow access. Your provider will enter the waiting room when ready, on the date and time of your scheduled appointment. Just like in-office visits, your provider may run late. If your provider is 10 or more minutes late and you have not heard from his/her medical assistant, please call the office.
